Speed Dub is intended to make tying simpler and faster. Similar to the older Mohair types of dubbing. Yet finer with natural hair fibers. With the thread base and correct quantity of loose fine fibers for both streamers, leeches, and wet fly patterns this readymade dubbing makes tying speedy and simple. Tie on using your thread and wrap the Speedy Dub around the hook for a complete body. Within the Speedy Dub range, they are solid colors. A variant is made by adding a strand of two or more colours that can be twisted together before wrapping the hook shank. Creating a blend as you add this dubbing to your hook. The fine fibers make it absolutely tremendous as a fly body material with lots of motion to entice the fish. This makes an excellent Mohair-type leech, streamer bodies, larger wet fly bodies, and much more.
We attempt to match colours to the familiar fly-tying industry names which are based on the Edmonds and Lee Colour Chart that is traditionally excepted as an industry standard worldwide. Whether the colours were encouraged by Skues (very possibly) or not, Edmonds and Lee set an industry standard more than a century ago.
